MOGADISHU (Sh. M. Network)-Armed groups have shot to death a teacher in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu on Thursday night, the latest in series of killings against civilians and government officials in the war-torn Mogadishu.
Eyewitnesses said, two unidentified men armed with pistols have killed the man whose name has not yet been released at Hawo Tako neighborhood in Wadajir district. The deceased has been teaching a Quran Madrasa in the district.
Reports indicated that the killers have escaped from the shooting scene shortly before local security forces under TFG arrived and conduct operations. At least 9 people were arrested by the forces over the murder during the manhunt.
The motive behind the killing of the teacher is yet to be established by the local police forces.
