MOGADISHU (Sh.M.Network)—Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has landed on Wednesday in Mogadishu, a day after Somali lawmakers endorsed the newly formed leaner cabinet ministers by Somali PM, Abdi Farah Shirdon.
Mr. Davutoglu said in an address to lawmakers at the Somali national assembly that will continue to stand side by side with the Somali people.
“You are the first MPs ever to be elected in more than 20 years since the collapse of former regime in 1991. And you have great opportunities ahead,” Davutoglu said.
As part of his visit in capital Mogadishu, the Turkish foreign minister has met with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and other top officials at the presidential compound, Villa Somalia.
