MOGADISHU(Sh. M. Network)-Senior Somali army commander has survived Tuesday an assignation attempt by unknown assailants who attacked his house in Mogadishu with hand grenade, witnesses said.
Ahmed Yare, Somali army chief at Ex-control Afgoye junction, told Shabelle Media by phone that two attackers hurled grenades into his house overnight, but escaped from the attack unhurt.
“Two unknown armed men have attacked with grenades into my house last night, but I escaped from the attack unhurt,” he added.
The security forces have carried out search operations over the attack and arrested dozens of suspects in connection with the incident.
