MOGADISHU (Sh. M. Network)— President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud moved on Thursday to Villa Somalia, the state house in Mogadishu, a day after two suicide explosions hit a hotel where he was staying temporarily.
Before the attacks on Wednesday, Mr. Mohamud was not expected to move into the presidential palace, until an official transfer of power ceremony is held on next Sunday [September 16].
This move comes as his predecessor Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, former TFG president is yet living at the heavily-fortified compound in the capital.
Al shabab militants claimed responsibility for the suicide blasts attempted kill Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Wednesday at Jazeera hotel near Aden Adde International airport in Mogadishu.
