Marko (Sh.M.Network)—A high-level joint delegation headed by Abdihakin, Hajji Fiqi, the defence minister and Abdikarin Hussein Guled, the interior minister of Somalia have paid a surprise visit the southern port city of Marko and Balad, former Al shabab bastions.
The minister of defense, A/hakin Haji Fiqi has visited front lines, in particular near jowhar district where Somali national forces, together with AMISOM captured from Shabab last month, reports said.
Mr.Fiqi said while addressing troops in Balad town: “It’s time to free Shabab and Al Qaeda militants from the entire Somali country”.Marki city located some 110 Km south of Mogadishu,Somali Capital.
He told that the war would continue in anticipation of they would remove terrorist group of Al-shabab and urged government soldiers to keep discipline and not harm civilians living where they free from Shabab.
Both the internal affairs and defence ministers of Somalia congratulated Somali national forces on the continues victories over the war they are gaining day after day and sent condolence message to relatives of dead soldiers among government forces and begged the injured for quick recovery.
