Mogadishu (Sh.M. Network) — Somali Prime Minister Abdi farah Shirdon Saa’id has visited the compound of Shabelle Media Network today in a tribute to the network’s important media work particularly to the bravery of its staff who the last one, Abdihared Osman Adan, was murdered two days in the capital while he was continuing to contribute the better of the nation’s freedom of speech and democracy.
The Premier was accompanied by members of his cabinet namely the interior minister, deputy minister of defence, deputy minister of information and commanders of Somali security including both the police chief and that of the intelligence agency.
Mr.Saa’id, who is the first Somali Prime minister in history, who is so deeply engaged and open to the Somali people and the independent media, sat down with all Shabelle staff in the meeting hall of the network where he eagerly listened to the concerns felt by Shabelle journalists and from the network’s chairman Abdimalik Yusuf Mohamud, the director of the network, Abdi Mohamed Ismail and other heads of the different departments of the network.

Shabelle journalists mainly stay inside the compound because of the targeted assassinations against them.
After listening the staff and the heads of Shabelle media Network, the Prime minister said that he his delegation came to Shabelle to console Shabelle journalists over the death of their late colleague Abdihared Osman and share with them the mourning of their friend.
Prime minister Saa’id, who has the characteristics of the global leaders in the west who share grievances with their people when a tragedy happens, told the national security commanders who were present at his visit to Shabelle today to do their best to find the perpetrators of Abdihared’s killing and he also said that the Somali government still continue to investigate the killings of the other journalists.
Shabelle journalists have admitted that the Prime Minister’s visit has really boosted their moral particularly after the effects of the recent killing of Abdihared who a great colleague in sucg horrible killing.
