Somali president returns home, after two-day visit in Uganda

MOGADISHU (Sh.M.Network) — After paying two-day visit in Kampala, the new president of the federal republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has retuned home on Thursday, presidential sources said.

A special aircraft, carrying the president of Somalia has landed at Aden International airport in Mogadishu, where he was received cordially by high-ranking government officials, including the new PM Abdi Farah Shirdon and parliament speaker Mohamed Osman Jawari.

While he was Kampala, Uganda -the newly-elected Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was one of the regional and international dignitaries attended the Uganda’s 50th independence anniversary.

This trip is the first outside the country since he was elected by Somali MPs on September 10, 2012 in Mogadishu.
