NEW YORK (Sh.M.Network)—Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister received in New York the Somali Prime Minister at the sidelines of 67th session of United Nations General Assembly Meeting.
The two sides discussed the bilateral cooperation and the latest developments in Somalia. Shaikh Abdullah expressed his pleasure about the positive developments of political process in Somalia. He pledged continuous support of the UAE to new Somali government.
For his part, the Somali PM thanked the UAE for its support, calling for more sustainable support to include investments in social sectors in Somalia.
The two sides tackled the phenomenon of piracy off the Somali coasts, besides the regional and international efforts to curb this phenomenon.
