MOGADISHU (Sh.M.Network)—Hundreds of internally displaced people (IDPs) living in makeshift camps in Somali capital, Mogadishu, held on Sunday a large demonstration to call attention to their plight.

“We demonstrated to remind the aid agencies and Somali people that we are here for 7 seven months, with no help and our children are here and suffering for sever malnutrition,” said a protestor.

However, The United Nations has declared 3 February 2012 an end to famine conditions in Somalia, but warned that the crisis in the Horn of Africa is not over and requires continued efforts to restore food security and help people resume normal lives.
