MOGADISHU (Sh.M.Network)— Dahir Hassan Hussein, the district commissioner (DC) of Deynile for Somali government, said he survived an attack attempted to take his life by the government army on Monday.

He accused the forces of being the murder of a senior Somali army official that was assassinated in the northern Deynile district before he was attacked.

It was unclear if the attack was aimed at Mr. Hussein personally.

Attacks remain common across the city since August 6, 2011, when Al shabab withdrew from their fixed bases in the capital following Somali and AMISOM offensives.
