MOGADISHU (Sh. M. Network)—Witnesses said a roadside bomb blast has tore through a military convoy carrying the African Union mission in Somalia (AMISOM) soldiers in Mogadishu on Thursday night.
Reports said the attack which was used a remote-controlled landmine destroyed the AU military personnel carrier at Ex-control Balad road, located on the suburbs of Mogadishu, causing an unconfirmed sever casualty.
The aftermath of the explosion AMISOM forces have sealed off the area, halting public traffic for a moment as fresh soldiers had had reached at the scene immediately as the blast occurred and made search operations.
It is unclear whether the AMISOM detained for suspected people or not over the blast which is one of series of attacks in Mogadishu against Somali and AU forces.
No group or individual has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
