More than 20 people wound in car mishap in Somalia

MOGADISHU (Sh. M. Network) —Traffic accident in southern Somalia has left more than twenty people injured, mostly seriously, according the officials and medics.

The accident took place on the outskirts of Mogadishu on Sunday morning when two cars—a lorry truck en route to Lower Shabelle region collided with a min-bus carrying dozens of passengers at Garasbaley and Km13 areas, located on the suburbs of the capital.

Traffic police have reached at the scene of the accident and evacuated all the injured people to the hospitals in Mogadishu for treatment. in Somalia, car accidents are routine and that is attributed to drivers who had no enough experience for driving as the roads are very rough and broken.

Somalia has not had any central rule to repair the damaged streets in the country and resume other social services since 1991.
