MOGADISHU (Sh.M.Network)-At least four people were wounded, some of them seriously in a hand grenade attack took place in Somalia’s seaside capital Mogadishu on Sunday night, Witnesses said.
“Two young boys have attacked with hand grenades on Somali government troops stationed at Bar Ubax junction army base, a busy road cross in Mogadishu. Four people, two women and two boys have been injured in the attack,” said a witness, who asked not to be named.
The wounded civilians were immediately rushed to a hospital in Mogadishu for medical treatment by the local ambulance services last night.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but Al-Shabab militants have in the past attacked the African Union mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and TFG forces. Witnesses said the victimized were nearby the army base when they were attacked.
