Bulo-Marer (Sh.M.Network)— The militants of Al shabab have arrested on Wednesday afternoon dozens of local residents in Bulo-Mareer area located some 120 Km south of Somali capital, Mogadishu, reports said.
“Three local businessmen were arrested by Al shabab and we don’t know exactly why these people have been targeted and taken to a militant custoday in Bulo-marer neighbourhood,” a witness told Shabelle Media Network by phone.
Somali army officials say Al shabab allege these three arrested businessmen over spying for the government and AMISOM forces who are marching towards the towns yet under militant control.
No independent confirmation on the arrest was available so far.
